Allegany County Circuit Court Administration

Welcome to the Circuit Court for Allegany County located in Cumberland, Maryland. The circuit court is a general jurisdiction trial court hearing domestic, civil, criminal, juvenile, and all jury trial cases. The circuit court also has appellate jurisdiction over the district court and certain administrative agencies. The Administrative Office of the Allegany County Circuit Court serves as a conduit for many judicial and non-judicial operations of the court. The Court Administrator’s role is to facilitate the administrative responsibilities of the court and develop policies to enhance systems performance while maintaining the independence of the Judiciary.
