Brothers Who Care is a federally recognized non-profit organization. Serving the community with outreach through media. We had operated since 1996 promoting Cultural Appreciation, Education and Self Help. We have published the Speak Up Community News publication since 2001 and maintain a Facebook page Speak Up Community News. We are located in the Martin Luther King Jr Community Center which formerly served as the North Street School for Blacks in Washington County Maryland before schools were integrated in Hagerstown Maryland. Part of our office suite preserves a North Street School Classroom and houses the Anne Vesta Doleman Black Heritage Library collection. We also offer community development and small business consultation.
