A dream upon dreams for our family we are the 4th family to own this property since the mid 1700's. Records indicate Samuel Rohrer willed a portion of his land to his son John in 1788. John held this property until his death in 1828. Forming the main portion of the German Farm House style, the log section of the main home dates back to the very early 19th century. In 1840, Nicholas Shiffler acquired the farm and helped run the onsite family business Washington Marble Co.
