Dr. Martins is a board-certified neurologist with a history of serving over twenty-five (25) years as a neurologist in the U.S. Army. In March 2016, he retired as a Colonel in the Medical Corps with recognition for meritorious service. Between postings in Germany, Texas, and North Carolina, he would return home to Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and then Bethesda. Here, he cared for active duty servicemen and women, retirees, and their families with neurological disease. During these tours of duty, Dr. Martins also spent a great deal of time in mentoring residents in the neurology residency program. He has been actively involved and is particularly interested in traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, headache, and migraine.
