The Evergreen Heritage Center (EHC), is an historic Maryland farm established c.1780, which we use as an outdoor classroom for experiential education. Our award-winning programs annually reach over 10,000 youth and adults in Western Maryland. We offer summer camps, environmental, STEM, and arts education programs, as well as native plant sales. The renovated historic barn and other venues on the property are available weddings and events. In addition to our Farmhouse Museum and Agricultural Museum, the 130 acre property includes a recreated Coal Camp and a one mile walking trail. The EHC is currently working on developing a 4.5 mile trail extension on the property, which will be accessible from the GAP trail.
