Salem Children's Trust

Private, nonprofit organization that first opened its doors in Garrett County, Maryland in 1979. It has reopened the Salem School to provide a full continuum of services to individuals ages 10-21 overcoming Intellectual, behavioral, complex mental health, or developmental challenges. We empower individuals to lead better lives. Salem provides continuous and coordinated services from short-term stabilization and educational services to career and technical training. These programs, including future plans for residential services, along with a data-driven, trauma-informed model help the organization to develop successful plans of care and clients to thrive in a variety of settings.
